Full mouth reconstruction (also called full mouth rehabilitation or restoration) is a comprehensive, custom dental procedure that restores all or most of the teeth in your mouth.
It uses a combination of dental treatments, including dental implants, restorative treatments and cosmetic dentistry to correct complex dental issues and improve the appearance and function of your teeth.
Restorative treatments such as dental fillings, dental crowns and bridges and root canal therapy to improve oral health and prevent further damage.
Cosmetic treatments such as porcelain veneers, composite bonding and teeth whitening to create a show-stopping smile that fits perfectly within the frame of your face.
Fixed natural-looking dental implants for a long-lasting tooth replacement that feels and functions just like the real thing.
Reshaping the surface of the teeth and orthodontic treatments like Invisalign to reposition the teeth and improve how they fit together.
Treatment and management of gum disease and periodontal issues to bring your gums and mouth back to good health.

Full mouth rehabilitation treatment can take anywhere between a few months for minor reconstructive work to over a year for more complex cases. Treatment time will ultimately depend on the complexity of your case, the types of treatments you require, individual healing time and whether you need to be referred to a specialist (such as a periodontist, orthodontist or maxillofacial surgeon oral surgeon) for additional care.
Every full mouth reconstruction patient is different and requires a unique treatment approach. The best way to find out if a full mouth restoration is right for you is to book your free consult with Dr Yi Chan. During this appointment, we will assess your smile and concerns, and present all of the suitable treatment options available to you.
Most patients opt to have reconstructive dental procedures under sedation (also called sleep dentistry). Depending on the complexity of your treatment, you can choose to have oral sedation, IV sedation or general anaesthesia. All of these sedation options will help you feel comfortable and calm throughout the procedure. We also use local anaesthetic to numb the mouth so you won’t feel any pain or discomfort during treatment.
Recovery time will vary, depending on the treatments required. For example, the initial healing time of dental implant placement may take a few weeks, but the complete healing of the jaws and gums, including the integration of the titanium dental implant with the jaw bone, will take around 6 months. A patient’s individual healing abilities will also largely influence the recovery period.
Rest assured, we will provide you with personalised aftercare instructions to ensure optimal comfort and healing during your recovery.
The cost of full mouth rehabilitation is case-dependent and will vary from patient to patient, depending on their unique needs. There are a number of factors that will affect the full mouth reconstruction price, such as the combination of dental treatments needed and whether additional treatment by a specialist is required.
When you visit us for your free Smile Transformation consultation, we will discuss all of the treatment options available to you, whether you will need to be referred to a specialist and the estimated costs involved.
